高僧法開。以義解知名天下。與謝安王文度等。為文學之友。孫綽曰。深通內外。才華贍逸。其在開乎。

The eminent monk Fakai was known throughout the world for his doctrinal understanding. He became a literary friend of Xie An, Wang Wendu, and others. Sun Chuo said: 'Profoundly penetrating internal and external learning, with talent abundant and unrestrained—who could it be if not Kai?'
