3.253

宗鑑錄云。禪僧行解有十。一了了見性。如晝觀色。二逢緣對境。見色聞聲舉足下足。開眼合眼。悉得明宗。與道相應。三覽一代時教及從上祖師言句。聞深不怖皆得諦了無疑。四因差別問難種種詰責能斷他疑。五於一切時一切處。智照無滯。不見一法能為障礙。六於逆順境盡識得破。七心境起時了知起處不為生死根塵所惑。八行住坐臥四威儀中欽承祇對著衣喫飲與道相應。九聞說有佛無佛有無眾生。或讚或毀一心不動。十於差別智。皆能明達。性相俱通。理事無滯。無有一法不鑒其原。

The Zongjian lu states: "There are ten aspects to the practice and understanding of Chan monks: First, clearly seeing one's nature, like seeing colors in the daytime. Second, encountering conditions and confronting objects, whether seeing colors, hearing sounds, raising or lowering one's feet, opening or closing one's eyes, in all cases grasping the essential principle and according with the Way. Third, examining the entire lifetime of teachings and the phrases of past patriarchs, hearing the profound without fear, and attaining clear understanding without doubt in all of them. Fourth, when encountering various difficult questions and cross-examinations regarding distinctions, being able to sever others' doubts. Fifth, at all times and in all places, having the illumination of wisdom without obstruction, not seeing a single phenomenon that could act as a hindrance. Sixth, in both adverse and favorable circumstances, completely seeing through them. Seventh, when mind and objects arise, clearly knowing the place from which they arise, and not being deluded by the roots and dusts of birth and death. Eighth, within the four postures of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, reverently receiving and attending, putting on robes, eating, and drinking in accord with the Way. Ninth, hearing it said that there are Buddhas or no Buddhas, that there are or are not sentient beings, whether praised or reviled, the single mind remains unmoved. Tenth, being able to understand and penetrate all differentiating wisdom, completely mastering both nature and characteristics, without obstruction in principle and phenomena, there not being a single phenomenon whose source one does not perceive."
