梵音舍羅此云籌（律因）有婆羅門問比丘逝多林現住幾人比丘不知佛言應可行籌。
The Sanskrit sound śalā is translated here as counting rod. (In the Vinaya, it arose because) a brāhmaṇa asked a bhikṣu how many people currently resided in the Jetavana, and the bhikṣu did not know. The Buddha said that they should distribute counting rods.
