西域記云。講宣一部。乃免知事（今浙右律寺。有比丘。聽學成名。便免知事。以此為證）講二部。加上房資具。講三部。差侍者秪承。講四部。給淨人。講五部乘輿。

The Records of the Western Regions states: "Explicating one collection exempts one from administrative duties (today in vinaya monasteries in eastern Zhejiang, if a monk becomes renowned through hearing and studying, he is immediately exempted from administrative duties, using this as proof); lecturing on two collections adds requisites of upper-level quarters; lecturing on three collections assigns an attendant to serve him; lecturing on four collections grants him pure persons; lecturing on five collections allows him to ride in a carriage."
