The Dafangguang busiyiyi jingjie jing states: 'One who makes offerings to the Buddha obtains great merit, quickly attains anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhi, and causes all sentient beings to gain peace and happiness. One who makes offerings to the Dharma increases wisdom, realizes mastery over phenomena, and can understand the true nature of all phenomena. One who makes offerings to the Saṅgha increases immeasurable provisions of merit, bringing about the attainment of the Buddha path.'
