Remotely, it is named after the Buddha's subduing the fire dragon of Kāśyapa in a bowl. Recently, it is taken from the eminent Jin monk Master She: in the eleventh year of the Jianyuan era of Fu Jian, Chang'an had a severe drought; Fu Jian asked She to chant spells over dragons. Soon, a dragon was in She's bowl, and rain fell abundantly. In the sixteenth year, She passed away. In the seventeenth year, from the first month until the sixth month, it did not rain; many prayers went unanswered. Fu Jian said to the Secretariat Drafter Zhu Rong, "If Master She were alive, how could our heart be so scorched concerning the heavenly clouds like this!"
