Troubled and vexed (擾惱: the first character is pronounced *er* + *zhao* in fanqie. Kong's commentary on the *Classic of Documents* states: “*Rǎo* means disordered.” The *Shuowen jiezi* states: “Irritated; it is composed of the radical *shǒu* (hand) with *yōu* as phonetic.” *Yōu* is pronounced *nu* + *gao* in fanqie. The *Jixun* states: “Internally agitated and entangled in mind; distressed.” The *Shuowen jiezi* states: “Having resentment and distress; it is composed of the radical *xīn* (mind) with [巢-果+(离-禸)] as phonetic.” [巢-果+(离-禸)] is pronounced the same as above; it is composed of *xìn* (brain/skull), where *xìn* is pronounced *xin*, and *chuān*, representing hair. In the sūtra it is written with *shān* (mountain), which is incorrect).
