盲冥（下莫瓶反考聲暗也夜也說文幽也從日日數十六每月十六日月始虧漸幽暗也從冖亦聲也冖音覓經中從宀從具作𡨋非也）。

盲冥 (The lower character has the fanqie 莫瓶 [míng]. The Kaosheng says: 'Dark; night.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Dim; it takes 日, because the number of the sun [associated month day] is sixteen—on the sixteenth of each month, the moon begins to wane and gradually becomes dark; it takes 冖, which is also phonetic.' 冖 is pronounced 覓 [mì]. In the sūtras, it is written with 宀 and 具 as 𡨋, which is incorrect).
