掉舉 (The upper character has the fanqie 亭弔 [diào]. Jia's commentary on the Guoyu says: '掉 [diào] means to shake.' The Yunying says: 'To move.' The Guangya says: 'To shake.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes 手 as radical and an abbreviated 卓 as phonetic.' The lower character has the fanqie 居圄 [jǔ]. The character dictionary says: 'To raise and cause to be high.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To raise in opposition; it takes 手 as radical and 與 as phonetic').
