揔攝（祖董反考聲都也攝也玉篇將領也皆也說文作總聚束也從糸怱聲也經從手作捴俗字也下苫葉反考聲兼統也說文引持也從手聶聲聶失葉反）。

揔攝 (Has the fanqie 祖董 [zǒng]. The Kaosheng says: 'Altogether; to gather.' The Yupian says: 'To lead; all.' The Shuowen jiezi writes it as 總: 'To gather and bundle; it takes 糸 as radical and 怱 as phonetic.' In the sūtra it is written with 手 as 捴, which is a vulgar character. The lower character has the fanqie 苫葉 [shè]. The Kaosheng says: 'To unify and control.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To pull and hold; it takes 手 as radical and 聶 as phonetic.' 聶 has the fanqie 失葉 [shè]).
