劇苦（奇逆反方言云病少愈而必加劇也顧野王云劇甚也謂更甚於前也古今正字從刀豦聲也經中作劇俗字訛也）。

劇苦 (Has the fanqie 奇逆 [jì]. The Fangyan says: 'When an illness has slightly improved and must then worsen, it is 劇.' Gu Yewang says: '劇 [jù] means severe, that is, worse than before.' The Gujin zhengzi says: 'It takes 刀 as radical and 豦 as phonetic.' In the sūtras it is written as 劇, which is an erroneous vulgar character).
