奮迅（上分問反廣雅奮振也鄭玄注禮記動也說文翬也郭璞云翬翬然飛貌也從大隹從田字書云大鳥在田欲飛曰奮經文從臼非也下荀俊反廣雅奮迅振羽也爾雅迅疾也說文從辵卂聲翬音暉奞音雖辵音丑略反卂音信）。

奮迅 (The upper character has the fanqie 分問 [fèn]. The Guangya says: '奮 [fèn] means to shake.' Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Liji says: 'To move.' The Shuowen jiezi says: '翬 [to flap wings].' Guo Pu says: 'The appearance of flapping and flying; it takes 大, 隹, and 田.' The character dictionary says: 'A large bird in the field about to fly is called 奮.' The sūtra writes it with 臼, which is incorrect. The lower character has the fanqie 荀俊 [xùn]. The Guangya says: '奮迅 means shaking the wings.' The Erya says: '迅 [xùn] means swift.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes 辵 as radical and 卂 as phonetic.' 翬 is pronounced 暉 [huī]; 奞 is pronounced 雖 [suī]; 辵 has the fanqie 丑略 [chuò]; 卂 is pronounced 信 [xìn]).
