瑕隙（上胡加反鄭注禮云玉之病也廣雅裂也玉篇穢也說文從玉從叚省聲也下鄉逆反說文壁際孔也從阜從白上下從小經從巢作隟非也）。

瑕隙 (The upper character has the fanqie 胡加 [xiá]. Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: 'A defect in jade.' The Guangya says: 'A fissure.' The Yupian says: 'Filth.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes 玉 as radical and an abbreviated 叚 as phonetic.' The lower character has the fanqie 鄉逆 [xì]. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A hole in a wall; it takes 阜 and 白, with 小 above and below.' In the sūtra text it is written with 巢 as 隟, which is incorrect).
