[日/出/大/((犀-尸)-牛+十)]惡（上蒲冐反廣雅[日/出/八/((犀-尸)-牛+十)]猝也考聲猛也韻英侵也說文從曰從出從拱從[(犀-尸)-牛+十]從[日/出/八/((犀-尸)-牛+十)]省聲也[(犀-尸)-牛+十]音滔下烏各反說文不善也過也從亞從心正也經從西作𢙣俗字誤也）。

[日/出/大/((犀-尸)-牛+十)]惡 (The first character has the fanqie bu + mao [bào]. The Guangya says: 'Bào means sudden.' The Kaosheng says: 'Fierce.' The Yunying says: 'To encroach.' The Shuowen says it is derived from rì [日, sun], chū [出, emerge], gǒng [拱, hands joined], and [(犀-尸)-牛+十], with the abbreviated phonetic bào [日/出/八/((犀-尸)-牛+十)]. [(犀-尸)-牛+十] is pronounced tāo. The second character has the fanqie wu + ge [è]. The Shuowen says: 'Unwholesome; a transgression.' Derived from yà [亞] and xīn [心, mind] as the standard form. The sūtra text writes it with the xī [西] radical as 𢙣, which is a vulgar and erroneous character).
