Integrating and synthesizing [綜括] (zong-song fan [zòng]; Guiyuan zhucan: "An apparatus on a loom; arranging warp threads so that they do not tangle is called zong [綜]." Shuowen: "Loom threads; composed of 'silk' [糸] with 'zong' [宗] phonetic." / huan-huo fan [kuò]; Han Kangbo's commentary to the Yijing: "Kuo [括] means to tie up." Han Poetry: "To bundle." Kaosheng: "To restrain." Shuowen: "Clean; composed of 'hand' [手] with 'she' [舌] phonetic").
