黔黎（儉廉反鄭注禮云黔首萬民也史記云始皇二十六年更名萬民為黔首也說文從黑今聲下禮提反孔注尚書云黎眾也）。

Black-haired commoners [黔黎] (jian-lian fan [qián]; Zheng's commentary to the Liji: "Qianshou [黔首] means the myriad common people." Shiji: "In the twenty-sixth year of the First Emperor of Qin, the myriad commoners were renamed 'black-heads' [黔首]." Shuowen: "Composed of 'black' [黑] with 'jin' [今] phonetic." / li-ti fan [lí]; Kong's commentary to the Shangshu: "Li [黎] means the multitude").
