腥臊（又作胜同先丁反下桑刀反腥臊臭也通俗文魚臭曰腥猳臭曰臊臊音加也）。

腥臊 (Rank and foul-smelling: [腥 is] also written 胜, identical; *xian-ding* fanqie [xīng]; below [臊 is] *sang-dao* fanqie [sāo]; 腥 and 臊 both mean foul odor. The Tongsuwen says: 'The stench of fish is called 腥; the stench of boars is called 臊.' 臊 has the pronunciation *jia* [jiā].)
