㮀盛（上霞巖反考聲云木匧也韻詮云盛書盛表木匧也或作椷亦作楠古字也經作凾俗字也本凾谷關名也匧音謙葉反盛音成鄭注周禮云在器曰盛說文云黍稷在器也從皿成聲也皿音明秉反）。

“Enclosed and contained” (㮀盛: the upper character is fanqie 霞 + 巖 [hán]. The Kaosheng says: “It means a wooden box.” The Yunquan says: “A wooden casket for holding books or memorials.” It is also written 椷, and anciently written 楠. The sūtra writes 凾, which is a vulgar character; originally it was the name of the Hangu Pass. ‘Casket’ (匧) is fanqie 謙 + 葉 [qiè]. ‘To contain’ (盛) has the sound of 成 [chéng]. Zheng's commentary on the Rites of Zhou says: ‘Things placed in a vessel are called 盛.’ The Shuowen says: ‘Millet placed in a vessel. It is composed of 皿 [vessel] with 成 as phonetic; 皿 is fanqie 明 + 秉 [mǐng]’”).
