障累（上章讓反考聲云蔽也說文隔也從阜章聲下壘墜反考聲家累也孔注尚書云輕忽小罪而積害毀大也劉兆注公羊傳云連及也作絫會意字）。

Obstacles and entanglements (障累: for the first character, the fanqie zhāng + ràng [章讓]; the Kaosheng says it means to conceal; the Shuowen says it means to separate; it is composed of fù [阜] with zhāng [章] as phonetic. The lower character is the fanqie lěi + zhuì [壘墜]; the Kaosheng says it means domestic encumbrances; Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says it means to treat petty offenses lightly so that accumulated harms ruin what is great; Liu Zhao's commentary on the Gongyang zhuan says it means to involve and affect; written as lěi [絫], an associative compound character).
