窈冥（上邀晈反郭注毛詩云窈幽靜也說文深遠也從穴幼聲論文作𰩉誤也下莫瓶反毛詩傳冥亦窈也郭注爾雅云幼稚者冥昧也文字典說云幽也十六日月始虧也從日從六從冂聲也）。

Deep and obscure 窈冥 (the first character is 邀晈 fanqie; Guo's commentary on the Mao Poetry states: "Yao means quiet and tranquil"; the Shuowen says: "Deep and distant"; it is composed of 穴 with 幼 phonetic; in the text of the treatise it is written as 𰩉, which is an error; the second character is 莫瓶 fanqie; the Commentary to the Mao Poetry states: "Ming also means deep"; Guo's commentary on the Erya states: "The immature are dim and obscure"; the Wenzi dian shuo states: "Obscure; when the moon begins to wane on the sixteenth day"; it is composed of 日, 六, and 冂 phonetic).
