Fetters and manacles 桎梏 (the first character is 真曰 fanqie; the second character is 公屋 fanqie; Zheng's commentary on the Zhouli states: "On the hands it is called zhi; on the feet it is called gu"; the Wenzi dian shuo states: "Zhi are manacles for the hands; gu are fetters for the feet"; both are composed of 木 with 至 and 告 as their respective phonetics).
