Hanging up the monk's staff (掛錫: [掛 has the] fanqie gǔ + huà [guà]. The Yunquan says: 'Guà means to suspend.' In Wu dialect it is pronounced guài; the glosses and explanations are completely identical. It is also written as 挂).
