Turtles and terrapins (龜鼈: the upper character is pronounced guī. The most prominent among shelled creatures; their varieties are very numerous, fully described in the Erya. The lower character has the fanqie biān + miè [biē]. A smaller type of softshell turtle; round in shape, of the turtle family, but without shell beneath its belly).
