迦利邸迦月（薑伽反梵說也唐言昴星每年九月十五日月臨昴宿故取此星為九月名古名迦提訛略不正也經引秋月圓滿光明澄淨以喻真言妙淨也）。

Month of Kārttika (jiang-jia fan; Sanskrit term. In Tang language it is the Pleiades star. Every year on the fifteenth day of the ninth month, the moon confronts the Pleiades constellation, so this star is taken as the name of the ninth month. The old name Jiadi is a corrupt abbreviation and incorrect. The sūtra cites the full, clear, pure light of the autumn moon as an analogy for the wonderful purity of the dhāraṇī.)
