鑄鍊（上朱樹反考聲云鎔寫也鎔音容說文銷金也下蓮甸反韻英銷鍊金也說文冶金也從金從東聲也或從火作煉也）。

Casting and refining (鑄鍊: the upper character is pronounced zhū-shù fan [zhù]. The Kaosheng says: "To melt and pour." Melting (鎔) is pronounced róng. The Shuowen says: "To melt metal." The lower character is pronounced lián-diàn fan [liàn]. The Yunying says: "To melt and smelt metal." The Shuowen says: "To smelt metal." It takes jīn [metal] as radical and dōng as phonetic. It is also written with huǒ [fire] as 煉).
