拘律陀（應云尼俱律陀經為勒頌省去尼字或云尼俱類或云尼俱陀皆梵語訛略也此譯云無節樹似梧桐皮青無皺七旬反圓滿端直也）。

拘律陀 (*Nygrodha*): Should properly be *Nijùlǜtuó* (尼俱律陀, *nyagrodha*). The sūtra omitted the syllable *ni* (尼) to fit the metrical verse; alternatively it is called *Nijùlèi* (尼俱類) or *Nijùtuó* (尼俱陀), all of which are phonetic corruptions and abbreviations of the Sanskrit. Here it is translated as "the knotless tree." It resembles a paulownia, with smooth green bark without wrinkles (*zhòu*, 七旬反 [t͡sʰiuen]), rounded, upright, and straight.
