耎膩（上而兖反說文弱也從而從火經文從車作軟非也本無此字下尼致反王逸注楚辭云滑也說文肉上肥也從肉貳音二聲也）。

耎膩 (the first character is *ér* + *yǎn* fanqie; the *Shuowen* states: 'Weak or soft; composed of 而 and 火 (fire);' in the sūtra text it is written with 'cart' (車) as 軟, which is incorrect, as originally this character did not exist; the second character is *ní* + *zhì* fanqie; Wang Yi's commentary on the *Chuci* states: 'Smooth and sleek;' the *Shuowen* states: 'Fat on meat; composed of 'flesh' (肉) with *èr* (貳), pronounced *èr*, as phonetic').
