不歰（師立反王逸注楚辭云澀難也郭璞注方言云歰猶𠫤也說文不滑也從四止二倒書二正書會意字也經文上作二刃誤也有從二止從水作澁者俗字非正體也）。

Buse [not rough/astringent] (fanqie: shi- + -li. Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: 'Se means difficult.' Guo Pu's commentary on the Fangyan says: 'Se is like parsimonious.' The Shuowen says: 'Not smooth; composed of four zhi [foot/stop], two written upside down and two written upright; an associative compound.' In the sūtra text the upper part is written with two 'blade' characters, which is an error. Forms taking two zhi and the 'water' radical as 澁 are vulgar characters, not standard forms).
