紡績（上芳冈反考聲云糾𢇇令緊曰紡下精亦反爾雅績結也續也說文續也絹也形聲字也）。

紡績 (Spinning and reeling: the first character has the fanqie 芳冈 [fāng]. The Kaosheng says: “Twisting hemp fibers tight is called 紡.” The second character has the fanqie 精亦 [jì]. The Erya says: “績 means to join or to continue.” The Shuowen says: “To continue; to spin silk.” It is a phono-semantic character.)
