挫辱（祖過反鄭注禮記挫折也說文摧也從手坐聲下如欲反賈注國語云辱恥也說文從寸在辰下古者失耕時則封壃上戮之故為辱也或從心作𢛚古字）。

Humiliation (挫辱: the first character is 祖 + 過 fanqie; Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "挫 means to break." The Shuowen says: "To crush; it takes 'hand' (手) as semantic and 坐 as phonetic." The second character is 如 + 欲 fanqie; Jia's commentary on the Guoyu says: "辱 means shame." The Shuowen says: "It takes 'inch' (寸) placed under 辰; in ancient times, if one neglected the farming season, one would be put to death at the field border, hence it means disgrace." It is also written with 'heart' as 𢛚, an ancient character).
