矜伐（上居疑反鄭注禮記云矜謂自尊大也諡法曰自賢曰矜說文從矛今聲經文從令作矝誤也）。

矜伐 (Boastful and vaunting: the first [jin has] the fanqie 居疑; Zheng's commentary to the Liji says: 'Jin means making oneself appear venerable and great.' The Posthumous Titles Rules say: 'To deem oneself worthy is called jin.' The Shuowen jiezi states that it is formed with the spear radical 矛 and jin 今 as phonetic. In the sūtra text, writing it with ling 令 as 矝 is an error).
