門樞（衝朱反考聲云門扇轉處也今呼為門肘亦曰轉肘舊音義云門臼恐非也廣雅樞本也韓詩樞機者制動之主從木區聲也）。

Door pivot (門樞: [the character 樞 (pivot)] is 衝 [chong] + 朱 [zhu] [shū]. The Kaosheng says: 'The place where the door leaf rotates.' Nowadays it is called the door elbow (門肘), or the turning elbow (轉肘). Older glossaries say the door socket (門臼), which is likely incorrect. The Guangya says: '樞 means root/origin.' The Han text of the Shijing says: 'The pivot and spring are what control motion.' Composed of the wood radical (木) with 區 as phonetic).
