剜掘（烏完反埤蒼剜剈也恚緣反下群蔚反廣雅掘斸也誅錄反穿也考聲斲也從手屈聲斲音卓）。

Gouging and digging (wanjue 剜掘: [wan is pronounced with the] fanqie wu-wan 烏完. The Picang says: “Wan 剜 means to carve out (chuan 剈).” [Chuan is pronounced with the fanqie] hui-yuan 恚緣. The second character is [pronounced with the] fanqie qun-wei 群蔚. The Guangya says: “Jue 掘 means to hoe (zhu 斸).” [Zhu is pronounced with the fanqie] zhu-lu 誅錄; it means to bore into. The Kaosheng says: “To chop. Composed of 'hand' (shou 手) with qu 屈 as phonetic.” Zhuo 斲 is pronounced zhuo 卓).
