觶蛭（禪展反山海經云滑魚也狀如蛐蟮郭景純注尒雅云鱓魚似虵有班說文魚也皮可以為鼓形聲字下真日反尒雅蛭蟣也郭注云水中蛭蟲入人肉中飲立者也）。

觶蛭 (Pronounced zhan3 [chan-zhan fan]. The Shanhaijing says: 'The slippery fish, shaped like an earthworm.' Guo Jingchun's commentary on the Erya says: 'The eel-fish, resembling a snake with spots.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A fish whose skin can be used for drums.' It is a phono-semantic character. The lower character is pronounced zhi4 [zhen-ri fan]. The Erya says: '蛭 is 蟣.' Guo's commentary says: 'Leeches in the water that enter people's flesh to drink their standing blood').
