射術（上時夜反說文云弓弩發於身而中於遠從身從寸寸法度也或從矢作䠶亦同下瞬律反韓詩云術法也鄭注禮記云道也藝也說文邑中道也從行术聲也术音鍾律反從朮省聲也）。

Archery art (射術: the first character has the fanqie 時夜. The Shuowen says: "Discharged from the body by bow or crossbow to hit at a distance. It takes 身 with 寸; 寸 represents measure." It is also written with 矢 as 䠶, meaning the same. The second character has the fanqie 瞬律. The Han Shi says: "術 means method." Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "Path; skill." The Shuowen says: "A thoroughfare within a town. It takes 行 as radical with 术 for phonetic value." 术 has the fanqie 鍾律, and takes 朮 abbreviated for phonetic value).
