鬚髮（上相臾反考聲云髮鬚也說文作須面毛也從頁頁頭也從彡象毛也下販韈反頭上長毛也說文云作[翅-羽+(巢-果+(一/自))]古字也）。

Beard and hair (鬚髮; upper [character] *xiāng* + *yú* fanqie. The *Kaosheng* states: "Hair and beard." The *Shuowen jiezi* writes it as 須: "Facial hair; derived from *yè* 頁 (head) and *shān* 彡 representing hair." Lower [character] *fàn* + *wà* fanqie: "Long hair on the head." The *Shuowen jiezi* writes it as [翅-羽+(巢-果+(一/自))], which is an ancient character).
