彰露（上音章孔注尚書云彰明也賈注國語云著也考聲顯也毛詩傳云表也說文從彡音所緘反形聲也經文從邑作障郡邑名也非此用也）。

Made manifest (彰露: the upper character is pronounced zhāng; Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: "彰 means clear and bright." Jia's commentary on the Guoyu says: "Prominent." The Kaosheng says: "Manifest." The Mao commentary on the Shijing says: "Displayed." The Shuowen says it takes shān (彡) phonetic [and semantic], being a phono-semantic character. The sūtra text written with the city radical (邑) as 障 is the name of a commandery or county, and not for use here).
