作繭（堅顯反說文蠶衣也從糸從虫從薾省薾音知里滿經從爾作蠒非也不成字糸字亦不成也）。

作繭 (Make a cocoon: with the fanqie 堅 + 顯 [jiǎn]. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'The garment of a silkworm.' Composed of 糸, 虫, and an abbreviation of 薾. 薾 has the fanqie 知 + 里 [zhǐ] or 滿 […]. In the sūtra, writing it with 爾 as 蠒 is incorrect; it does not form a proper character, nor does the 糸 element form one properly).
