Treading with feet (踏 has the fanqie 談合 [tán + hé], a vulgar usage; its original pronunciation is 貪合 [tān + hé]; stepping upon the ground; properly written as 蹋; the Kaosheng says: '蹋 means to trample'; it takes the semantic classifier 足 'foot' and the phonetic [日/羽], which has the sound 塔).
