萞麻（閉迷反考聲云草樹名也其子似牛螕蟲故以名焉從草𣬉聲今經文作𦳈或作蜱並非本字也）。

Castor bean (萞麻: [萞 has the] fanqie 閉迷. The Kaosheng says: "Name of a plant; its seeds resemble cattle ticks (螕), hence the name." It takes 草 with 𣬉 for phonetic value. In the current sūtra text it is written 𦳈 or 蜱, neither of which is the original character).
