搒笞（白盲反顧野王搒擊也字書捶也說文從手旁聲下耻持反說文笞擊也從竹台聲也）。

Flogging and caning (搒笞) (fanqie: 白 + 盲; Gu Yewang says: "搒 means to strike." The Zishu says: "To beat with a stick." The Shuowen says: "It is classified under the hand radical with 旁 as phonetic." The second character is fanqie: 耻 + 持; the Shuowen says: "笞 means to flog and strike; it is classified under the bamboo radical with 台 as phonetic").
