玷缺（丁簞反說文玷亦缺也從玉從占下犬悅反蒼頡篇缺虧也說文從[午/止]從夬或從垂作𡙇亦通文從玉作玦音古穴反非此義也）。

Flawed and deficient (玷缺) (fanqie: 丁 + 簞. The *Shuowen* says: "*Dian* (玷) also means deficient." It follows 玉 "jade" with 占 phonetic. The pronunciation of the second character: fanqie 犬 + 悅. The *Cangjiepian* says: "*Que* (缺) means deficient." The *Shuowen* says it follows [午/止] with 夬; or written as 𡙇 following 垂, which is also interchangeable. When written with 玉 "jade" as 玦, pronounced with the fanqie 古 + 穴, that is not this meaning).
