貪瞋癡（昌真反考聲云瞋怒也說文張目恨也形聲字也下耻知反考聲云癡愚也埤蒼騃也說文不惠也從疒也）。

貪瞋癡: [The second character is] chāng-zhēn fan (chēn). The Kaosheng states: "Chēn means anger." The Shuowen jiezi states: "To glare with wide eyes in resentment; a phonetic ideogram." The third character is chǐ-zhī fan (chī). The Kaosheng states: "Chī means foolish." The Picang states: "Silly/dull (ái)." The Shuowen jiezi states: "Not clever/unwise; it derives from 疒 ('sickness')."
