蠉飛（上血緣反亦作蝝皆正體字也公羊傳曰蝝即蠉也始生曰蝝長大曰蠉劉歆說云蚍蜉子也董仲舒云蝗子也聲類虫飛皃說文蟲行也從虫睘聲也）。

Crawling and flying (蠉飛: the first character has the fanqie x- + [y]uan [=xuān]; it is also written 蝝, both being standard characters; the Gongyang zhuan says: 'Yuán (蝝) is precisely xuān (蠉); newly hatched it is called yuán, and grown large it is called xuān'; Liu Xin's explanation says: 'The larva of an ant'; Dong Zhongshu says: 'The larva of a locust'; the Shenglei says: 'The appearance of insects flying'; the Shuowen says: 'Insects crawling'; it is formed with 'insect' [虫] and huán [睘] as phonetic).
