樓櫓（上音婁下音魯案樓者城牆上戰樓也杜注左傳云櫓者大盾也今名戰格是也形聲字）。

Watchtowers and palisades (樓櫓; the first character has the pronunciation lóu. The second character has the pronunciation lǔ. Note: a lóu is a fighting tower atop a city wall. Du's commentary to the Zuozhuan says: “A lǔ is a large shield; what is called today a battle palisade is this.” It is a phono-semantic character).
