厭人(於冉反鬼名也梵言烏蘇慢此譯言厭字苑云厭眠內不祥蒼頡篇云手伏合人心曰厭字從厂厂音呼𠏉反聲聲山東音於葉反)。

Yanren 厭人 ([ʔ]- + [ʔ]em[X], [yǎn]; the name of a demon; in Sanskrit it is usmā [or apasmāra?]; here it is translated as 'oppressor' [yan 厭]; the Ziyuan says: “Yan 厭 means an ominous occurrence during sleep”; the Cangjie pian says: “When hands pin someone down so that their mind is stifled, it is called yan 厭”; the character is derived from the radical 厂, where 厂 is pronounced h- + [k]an[H] [hàn] as phonetic; east of the Mountains it is pronounced [ʔ]- + [ʔ]ep [yè]).
