揵椎（直追反經中或作揵遲案梵本臂吒揵稚臂吒此云打揵稚所打之木或檀或桐此無正翻以彼無鍾磬故也但椎稚相濫所以為誤已久也）。

Jianzhui 揵椎 (dr- + drwi, [chuí]; in sūtras it is sometimes written as jianchi 揵遲; examining the Sanskrit text, it is piṭa-ghaṇṭī [or piṭṭa-ghaṇṭā]: piṭa [piṭṭa] here means striking, and ghaṇṭī [ghaṇṭā] is the wood that is struck, whether sandalwood or paulownia; there is no exact Chinese translation for this because there were no bells or chimes over there; however, because zhui 椎 and zhi 稚 were confused, it has long been an error).
