尠薄（仙剪反爾雅云尠寡也古今正字尠罕也從甚正體從是從少作尟或從魚從羊作鮮音義並同下傍博反蒼頡篇薄微也釋名云疏物也廣雅云穿也說文從草溥聲也）。

尠薄 (fanqie: 仙 + 剪; the Erya says: "尠 means few." The Gujin zhengzi says: "尠 means rare; classified under 甚." The orthodox form is written with 是 and 少 as 尟, or with fish (魚) and sheep (羊) as 鮮, all identical in sound and meaning. The second character has the fanqie: 傍 + 博; the Cang Jie pian says: "薄 means slight." The Shiming says: "Thin material." The Guangya says: "To pierce." The Shuowen says: "It is classified under grass (艸) and takes 溥 as phonetic.")
