腐敗（扶甫反考聲云肉敗也廣雅腐臭也說文爛也從肉府聲或從木作[腐-肉+米]）。

Rotten and spoiled (腐敗: [腐 is] fu-fu fan; the Kaosheng says: "Meat spoiling." The Guangya says: "腐 means foul-smelling." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Rotten; derived from radical 'flesh' [肉] with 府 as phonetic." Sometimes written with radical 'wood' [木] as [腐-肉+米]).
