染翰（寒岸反或從毛作㲦考聲云獸毫毛也可以製筆故云㲦墨周書曰文㲦若彩鷄言文章綺煥也筆能橋奮故呼筆為摛㲦）。

染翰 (fanqie 寒岸 [hàn]; also written with radical 毛 as 㲦; Kaosheng: "Animal hairs and bristles can be used to make writing brushes, hence called 㲦墨 [brush and ink]"; Zhoushu: "'Writing plumes [文㲦] like a variegated pheasant', meaning that literary composition is radiant and ornate; because the brush can flourish vigorously, calling the brush is termed 摛㲦 [wielding the brush]").
